A new selection method has been added to the Select and Modify tool. You can now select all features that are inside of an area feature already drawn on the map such as a parcel, or service district boundary. See Select and Modify. |

What's New In Diamond Maps December 2022
The long-awaited iOS app is complete
The Diamond Maps Offline app is now available in both the Apple and Android app stores. For instructions on how to use it see here.
This new help system
We have combined all of our help articles and videos into a new searchable knowledge base. Plus we have several new videos and How-To articles. You can switch to the full-screen version of the help system here. But don't worry, we still provide free live chat and phone support.
Canada Server
We now have a separate server in Quebec for our Canada customers who have sensitive information that needs to be hosted in-country. If you are not already using ca.diamondmaps.com and want your data moved to that site let us know. For our US customers, your data is still hosted in the US.
Classify by range
The color-coding tool now has the ability to color code by ranges of values. See Color Coding for more about how to do that.
Add/Rem
Fields
Rearrange field order with drag and drop.
The Add/Remove Fields screen now allows you to re-order your fields by simply dragging and dropping. No more clicking up-up-up-up-up.
Trimble Mobile Manager Interface
If you are using a Trimble GNSS device then you will be glad to know that you can now connect Diamond Maps directly to the Trimble Mobile Manager app for a more robust connection and more metadata than before. And GPS Metadata fields are now automatically created in your layer when marking new points with any GPS/GNSS device.
The Shapefile Export has a couple of new options including 1) the ability to select just a portion of your map to export, and 2) the ability to reproject the exported data to a different projection.
Imagery layers
Locally provided imagery can now be shown on-top-of the Google Imagery instead of in-place-of, resulting in a more continuous view when working with small custom imagery sets.
Shift Google Imagery
If you suspect that the Google Imagery in your part of the world is off by more than a foot, let us know. We have a new method of applying local corrections to this layer based on either survey control points or your own high-precision GPS points. Read more here.
