Elevation Profile

Use this tool to create a graph showing the elevation profile of a given path. This might be useful, for example, when scouting out locations for a new gravity sewer main.

  1. Click the Menu button and then choose Elevation Profile
  2. Use the left mouse button to mark a series of points marking a path that you want to analyze. Be sure to mark a point at any location of interest such as where the path cross crosses a stream or road.
  3. Click the "Done" button after marking the ending point of your path
  4. Drag the bottom right corner of the results window to enlarge the graph.
  5. Note that the label on the graph correspond to the points you clicked on the map.
  6. Use the download button to download the graph to the downloads folder on your computer.
  7. Or use the "PrtScr" key on your Windows keyboard to capture a picture of both the graph and the map path together. Then paste this image into a document or email.
