Markup
Click the markup button 
to display the markup tool bar.
The buttons described below place temporary markings on the map for the purpose of printing or sharing your map. They will disappear the next time you reload your map or when you click the 'Clear' button. To permanently draw features on the map see the draw tool.
Lat/Lon Coordinates
Click the "Coords" button and then click on the map anywhere to label a points latitude / longitude coordinates. To locate a known latitude/longitude coordinate use the Find Address box
Elevation
Click the "Elevation" button and then click on the map to label a points elevation. This elevation information is provided by Google services and is based on a collection of both federal and local sources. There is no statement of accuracy or authority associated with this information.
Marker
Click the pencil button to freehand sketch on the map.
Laterals
If you have a record of distances to each lateral from a reference point, such as a manhole, then use this tool to mark those distances on the map to act as construction points to assist you in drawing the laterals in at their exact location.
- Click on the Markup tool and click the "Laterals" button.
- Click on the point where you would like to start documenting your distances as prompted.
- Next, pick an ending point on the main line.
- Then, type in the distance to the lateral in feet and click "OK." Repeat this step until all of your distances are marked.
- You will then see marks at the distances to the laterals from your reference point.
- Next, click on the Draw tool and select your Sewer Laterals layer. If you do not have a Sewer Laterals layer, you can create one for your map.
- Click on the building, and draw a line to the mark you just measured to create a lateral line. I recommend beginning at the house or location that the sewer will be flowing from so that the arrows follow the correct flow.
- Click "Done."
Clear
Click the "Clear" button to remove a coordinates, measurements, and other temporary markings from the map display.
Feature Coordinates
You can also add a special field to your layers that automatically calculates and displays the coordinates of a feature anytime you click on a feature. See Add/Remove Fields for more information.
Text
Click the "Text" button, and click on the map where you would like to insert your text. Using the menu at the top of the screen, type in your desired text and click "'done."
