Step 2: Diamond Maps Setup

If you are using the Diamond Maps Offline app

  • These instructions assume you already have a Diamond Maps account. If you don't then go to diamondmaps.com and start a free trial. See Video #201 for instructions on adding some layers to your map which you will need prior to proceeding.

Go to your Android or Apple app store and install "Diamond Maps Offline". Open the app and enter your Diamond Maps user name and password. Then click the Download button to download one of your maps to your phone/tablet for offline use.

  • Click on the map name to open the map.
  • Click the Menu button and choose GPS Status
  • Click the select button on the GPS Source line and select Zeno Connect
  • Set the source datum to match whatever the Leica is outputting. If your Leica is configured for RTK corrections then the datum is most likely Nad83.
  • If your FLX100 Plus is mounted on a pole enter the pole height in the box provided.
  • If you see Lat, Lon, and Accuracy readings changing in the grey box then that confirms that Diamond Maps is connected to the FLX100 Plus through Zeno Connect. Proceed to step 3.

If you are running Diamond Maps in your browser

  • Open your browser and go to diamondmaps.com and click the Sign In link to login and open your map. If you don't already have an account you can click the Start Free Trial button to create one. We recommend saving your map's web page as a home screen button on your phone/tablet.
  • If you haven't already created any layers on your map you can do so by clicking Layers, then Add. To mark points with your FLX100 Plus you will need to create a point based layer such as valves or manholes.

  • Change the Source to Zeno Connect.
  • Set the Datum to WGS84.
  • If your FLX100 Plus is mounted on a pole enter the pole height in the box provided.
