Setup Bad Elf On An Apple Device

How to setup Bad Elf on an Apple device

  1. After powering on the Bad Elf, go to the Bluetooth settings screen on your apple device and select the bad elf device. It will send a pairing request to both your apple device and the Bad Elf Device. Accept on both.
  2. Now sign into Diamond Maps and turn on GPS using the Yellow GPS button on the right side of the screen. Test to make sure it is using the bad elf device and not the apple devices location. To test leave the Bad elf device in one location and walk away from it with the apple device and make sure the yellow dot on the screen doesn't move.

Some phone and tablet operating systems will never report an accuracy better than 10 feet or more despite the fact that you are receiving a high accuracy position from the GPS.  If you have performed the test in step 7 above to confirm that you are in-fact tracking the Bad Elf and not your phone/tablet's on-board GPS then you should ignore this mis-reported accuracy value.
