How To Create A Button On Your Home Screen That Opens Your Map
If you are using the Safari Browser on an iPhone or iPad
- First login to your map. One way to do this is to go to diamondmaps.com and click 'Sign In' on the menu. Once logged in, select your map from your list of maps. Then if prompted click 'Goto Map'.
- At the bottom of your phone's display click the Safari menu button (see picture below)
- Lastly, click the 'Add to Home Screen' button on the menu. You may have to scroll the menu to the right to see this option.
If you are using the Chrome Browser on an Android Device
- First login to your map. One way to do this is to go to diamondmaps.com and click 'Sign In' on the menu. Once logged in, select your map from your list of maps. Then if prompted click 'Goto Map'.
- Click the Chrome menu button located in the top right corner of the screen (see picture below)
- Select 'Add to home screen' from the menu
- Click 'Add' on both of the next two screens
If you are using the Chrome Browser on a Desktop Computer
- First login to your map. One way to do this is to go to diamondmaps.com and click 'Sign In' on the menu. Once logged in, select your map from your list of maps. Then if prompted click 'Goto Map'.
- Click the Chrome menu button located in the top right corner of the screen (see picture below)
- Click 'More Tools' from the menu
- Click 'Create Shortcut' on both of the next two screens
- Click the 'Create' button
If you are using the Edge Browser on a Windows Desktop Computer
- First login to your map. One way to do this is to go to diamondmaps.com and click 'Sign In' on the menu. Once logged in, select your map from your list of maps. Then if prompted click 'Goto Map'.
- Click the menu button in the upper right corner. It looks like three dots.
- Click 'Pin this page to Start' from the menu
- Click 'Yes' when prompted
If you are using the Safari Browser on a Mac
- First login to your map. One way to do this is to go to diamondmaps.com and click 'Sign In' on the menu. Once logged in, select your map from your list of maps. Then if prompted click 'Goto Map'.
- At the top of the screen choose File, then Save as.
- Lastly, choose where you want to save this to on your Desktop, give it a meaningful name, and click Save.
If you have multiple maps?
If you have more than one map you can either repeat the above steps for each map, resulting in a different button for each one. Or you can create a single button that links to your account screen.
